“Betty” Li Furong, was last seen Sunday, Sept. 3 in Tolland County on the University of Connecticut's main  campus in Storrs, officials said.

"UConn is working to determine the student’s location and circumstances, including the possibility that she left campus voluntarily," University spokeswoman Stepanie Reitz said. "We encourage her or others who encounter her to contact UConn Police so they can confirm her well-being."

University police began the search for Furong after her family reported they couldn't reach her, officials said.

Police have put out flyers on campus where she lives in hopes that someone will come forward.

The investigation is continuing.

Anyone with information can call UConn Police at 860-486-4801.
